Finally made the switch to Wordpress

So I’ve finally done it. I’ve switched from Nucleus to Wordpress. It took a few hours once I actually started to make the switch.
I wanted to make sure I had the theme picked out, and was able to convert posts to the new platform before I started. Everything went smooth, but I have alot of work to do still.
Before installation, it is best to study up on how WPress works, its capabilities, and any other info you can find. I was able to find a few great websites with a wealth of info. Siteground.com has many tutorials from installation to administration. They also have themes, plugins, and a wordpress FAQ section which was a godsend while I performed the changeover.
After the installation, I installed several key plugins which I learned about from a stumbled post called 50 Best WordPress Plugins for Power Blogging
Also, during a stumble, I read about an easy hack for WordPress that would have been a problem for me if I wouldn’t have checked into it. A hacker could have easily gotten my wp-config.php file which gives username and password to my blog database. You can learn more here
I do not have the time to properly test the functionality of this new platform, so if you find anything wrong, please feel free to comment it on here. Also, since I’m new to Wordpress, I’m not sure what super powers wordpress has, I’m always open to suggestions for plugins and configurations that would help. I’m currently using a free template which I’ve downloaded from the WWW, but I think I like it. I know it’s a little plain now and there’s alot of “whitespace” but I’m sure I’ll have no problems filling it in over the next few days.
Remember, it is the reader that has to be comfortable with the website, not me. So please help me to help you! All comments are appreciated.
